Life at Three | Wrapping Up 2014!

What have you been up to little girl?
Disney on Ice - What a exciting time to watch "real life Disney" through the eyes of a three year old. Parker couldn't believe she was actually seeing Mickey Mouse and the Disney Princesses. I'm not sure she blinked throughout the entire show! While disappointed that she didn't get to give Mickey a hug, she did get to experience cotton candy for the first time, and walked away with some fun princess swag. (Okay, mommy and daddy loved it too. Don't tell Parker, but FROZEN Disney on Ice tickets have already been purchased for October 2015!)
Halloween as a Princess - Snow White made an appearance for Halloween - starting with lunch, and dressed head to toe, Parker fully embraced the holiday.
Officially a "Trick-or-Treater" - Parker had her first experience using those magic words. No, not please and thank you..."TRICK-OR-TREAT". Imagine her excitement when she realized the reward was candy!! We started at a church parking lot and ended the night at her school - including a haunted house that she braved with daddy. Snow White ended her night with her apple...putting that baby to sleep!
Thanksgiving - Pass on the turkey, and send in some of daddy's chili! YUM. It was a thankful day at home helping Daddy refine his recipe and lots of giggles and loves with Aunt Kimmy!
Hair Cut #2 - Just a trim please...Parker was much more into girl's beauty day this time. Aaandd we still have those curls!
Sitting on Santa's Lap, without tears!! - Parker got to watch Santa ride into town on his train. She then braved sitting on the big man's lap...without mommy, and without tears. A smile was pushing it, but she did get a round of applause when the picture was over!
Mimie Returns - Mimie came back to watch and report on the naughty or nice list. Parker found her in some really crazy places. Each day, Mimie also brought Parker a gift (book). Parker learned her first lesson in appreciation, when one day she wasn't so excited about "another book that I don't want". Mimie didn't bring anything the next day...Parker had a melt down. Guess she liked that book after all...
Bundling up...it's time to go to Nebraska - We made our annual trip to the mid-west to see Grammie and Papa for Christmas. Arriving in Denver, we once again visited the big man and all the Christmas fun at Bass Pro. Along with time to get loves from Aunt Diane, Uncle Tom, Cousin Sean and lots of shenanigans with Cousin Ava.
We were able to spend more time than usual, which meant LOTS of time for spoiling. Playing in the snow, riding four-wheelers, baking with Grammie (with glasses like Grammie), eating RUNZA, and keeping Grammie and Papa on their toes were only part of the agenda. Grammie made Christmas extra special for Parker with a Frozen Christmas tree and a whole new Frozen bed!
Speaking of Frozen, it was really cold (read -18), and the snow just kept coming. The cold doesn't bother her anyway...Parker loved building snowmen, and sledding with Papa. Papa loved the breathers in between "again Papa"!! Papa rested up...and got even.

Match game with Daddy and Papa...notice Daddy's chagrin when Parker schools Papa!

We also made a trip to a Christmas tree display at a local museum. Also there, was an exhibit featuring 2010 Miss Nebraska turned Miss America, Teresa Scanlan. Parker said she wants to wear "beautiful dresses just like her" when she grows up.
Parker got to see Aunt Franny again, and then got to meet baby Charlie for the first time. It's so fun to see faces we haven't seen in a year!

Parker got the chance to really know Great Grandpa Bauer on this trip. Parker helped Grandpa peel oranges, and the two then commenced to indulge in copious amounts of the vitamin C. It was pretty special to watch. Even Bullitt got some time on Great Grandpa's lap.

Then there's Cousin Danny, and his family, Chandra and Tyler. They love to spoil and love on Parker. They also love to see how they can impress Corey with each year's Christmas gift. This year...a karaoke machine...
Danny may officially be one of Parker's favorite playmates. I'm not sure who giggled or wore each other out more. They were two crazy kids over Christmas, and Parker could NOT get enough of him. Because of Danny, Parker has learned how to blow and shoot straw wrappers across a restaurant. She's got pretty good air. Oh Danny...you warned me, and you delivered!
Learned how to write her name - Papa and Daddy took some QT with Parker and taught her how to write her name. P.A.R.K.E.R. Parker.
Santa made it to Oregon - Upon our return from Nebraska, Parker was surprised to see that Santa had been to her house in Oregon, leaving behind a new trampoline and dollhouse!!

A few of our favorite things:
Always learning: Daddy has been teaching Parker the important things in life...football signals.

Hobbies: Singing, dancing, watching cartoons, drawing, playing dollhouse, and still singing. We just about have Christmas songs out of our system...remember that karaoke machine??
Food: Yogurt, smoothies, applesauce, mac & cheese and hot dogs, sausage pizza, chocolate milk
TV Shows: Kung Fu Panda, Sheriff Callie, any Princess cartoon, Big Bang Theory (un oh)

Parker-ism's:
"What in the world!"
"Are you kidding me?"
"Baby butt crack dance...baby butt crack dance" (sung and danced fresh out of the bathtub usually sans clothing or towels)
"I haven't had that this year!" (referring to getting anything that she wants at the time.)
"It happened by itself, I didn't do it."

Parker Poses
Just Being Parker
Mike and Greg made a visit, and Parker was upside down playing with them.
Mike is so tall Parker got to walk on the ceiling until her pants fell down. Sorry Mike!

One More Warner says happy (and on to) 2015!!
