Halloween - Two pumpkin patches, a school pumpkin run, and our annual tradition of trick or treating with our bestie! She sure was the cutest little (scary) witch.
Shopkins with friends - Our friend Hannah invited us to an afternoon at the theatre watching the very talented Shopkins (cough, cough). These four giggly girls had a great time. I think the mommies were looking forward to an adult beverage after.
A new member of the family - While Bullitt will forever be in our hearts, we sincerely missed having a fourth family member to snuggle. Welcome to the family Tillie Marie Warner. (Tillie came to us from a rescue...the cutest little dog with big ears, who was the only dog not barking. Tillie is the sweetest little pup, who TOTALLY fooled us with that non-barking thing. Good thing she's cute!)
Ice skating, ice skating, and more ice skating - Salem brought in an ice skating rink for the holiday season. She wasn't sure about it at first, but once she figured out the "toe pick" she became a pro (and a frequent customer of the rink!)
Holidays in Oregon - the holidays were super special this year, being able to spend them with Grammie and Papa, in Oregon. So many memories made (including visiting four Santas!)...with many many more to be make in the Pacific northwest!
Thanksgiving - Grammie and Papa's first ever Thanksgiving in Oregon, brought LOTS of food, and Christmas tree hunt to set the holiday scene.
Christmas at the river - Santa had to find her in Oregon this year, and he did not disappoint! Aunt Kimmy and Uncle Bobby came to ensure the place was Santa ready, and share in the holiday cheer!
Cheer camp (#4)- Back again to cheer! This girl loves it...but I think she loves Ashley and Allyssa more! I don't think I could have picked better role models for Parker. These ladies are the best!
Valentines Day - Even her hair was feeling the love on this day!
Twinning - Snapchat filters with Roque, crazy hair and twin day at school with Emma...and even DADDY shared a special look with Parker!
Pierced ears - Just another Saturday afternoon, hanging at the mall, piercing ears. No biggie. Parks was SO brave. She didn't cry. I did.
Jog-a-thon (#2) - Her second year running her little heart out for this school fundraiser, running 29 laps. This year we learned that she is a fantastic negotiator, and conned her daddy and papa to sign up as her major donors. So much so...she was the top fundraiser of the school!
Jog-a-thon Awards Assembly - Parks was officially announced as top fundraiser (thank you Daddy and Papa), where she won the opportunity to be principal for a day, and the chance to throw a couple of pies in a teacher's face. Not a bad day!
Principal for a day - Our mini-principal got to say the pledge and share the morning announcements over the intercom, and help Mrs. Russell with the very important job of passing out popsicles to the school! The top of the day - her own staff badge!!
Spring Break - Mommy took the week off (as a surprise) to share in the spring break fun. A trip to Top Golf to celebrate daddy's birthday, a trip to the beach, card games with Papa and a lesson on truck driving were all on tap!
Easter - The bunny must have talked to Santa, because he managed to find Parker at Grammie and Papa's house this year too!
Tumbling - Adding to her talents, Parks took a six week tumbling class. The child couldn't get enough, and we plan to continue with classes (private lessons even?!). Meanwhile, our living room, hallway, back patio, bedrooms have all turned into her personal gyms. Seriously, how many cartwheels can a little girl do?!?
Lost a tooth - Yep it happened. She lost her first tooth! The dentist told her it was wiggly - a few days later, she lost it. In all craziness, her bestie lost his first tooth on the same day!
Awesome 3000 - Not being from Salem, I had no idea what a big deal the Awesome 3000 was in the life of a child. We had to jump on the bandwagon and sign the girl up to run. She did amazing and came in 11th out of almost 200 1st grade girls!Mother's Day/Floating the river - To fully celebrate Grammie on her special day, we got her to float the river. So proud of that lady, even though she was terrified. It was the perfect day to celebrate her and get some celebration myself!
First sleepover at our house - Emma came to our house for a sleepover! These two are so sweet - dinner, a round of golf, and a game of beauty shop. These two had the best time, and even found time to sleep!
1st grade musical - Squirm - the musical. Parks was assigned the role of little Miss Muffet amongst many bats, snakes, and spiders. She really knows how to stand out in the crowd.
7th birthday - Yep. She went ahead and turned seven. June 1, 2018 was a big day - she turned seven, was principal for the day, shared donuts with her class in honor of her birthday (AND national donut day), her name in lights, out of school early to make it to her recital dress rehearsal, Nagoya for dinner, and Konditorei for cake!
Jump, tumble, flip and cheer party - Eighteen sweet little kiddos joined Parks to celebrate her turning seven. We had a tumbling/cheer party where the kids learned some "stunting". So much fun. So much energy in one gym! The best part? Our favorite cheerleaders Ashley and Allyssa showed up to surprise our girl!
Last day of 1st grade - She made it through! She is now a 2nd grader! Parks had a great school year, with the BEST teacher, at a great school. She excels in reading and math, and is a big fan of recess! Last day celebrations during field day - including a pie eating contest and an extra shot of left over whipped cream from Mrs. Piscoran!
