Life at Two | Too Independent

So Parker is officially two! That means it's time for a new blog timeline...every TWO months. I mean, really, there can't be that much to say about her every month, and there most definitely aren't any pictures of her clogging up mommy's computer and camera daily. (Read dripping sarcasm). We don't want to disappoint our loyal Parker fans out there...so here we go...

Miss Independent
"I do it." "IIIIIIII do it." "Karper do it." All very common phrases coming from a very sassy and independent little girl. She's can officially put on and buckle her shoes, open and close every door to the house 27 times each, and buckle herself in her car seat. Her "independent, I do it myself actions" may or may not make mommy late to work because it takes awhile for little fingers to accomplish these tasks, and mommy may or may not have had to find LOTS of patience to avoid a fight with little Miss Sassy-pants. All this to say...my baby is a little girl.

Hey what have you been up to little girl?
Found a lady bug - Parker got to hold her first ladybug. It was so sweet, and Parker loved her so. Maybe a little too much...poor lady bug couldn't quite handle all of the Parker love. I told Parker that the ladybug's mommy needed her to go home for a nap. A permanent one.
Camping - Parker got to go on her first camping trip to Mt. Hood the last weekend in June. While daddy and friends golfed, mommy and Parks got lots of mommy daughter time. We found the playground, and fell in love with the big girl slide (she had no fear)! Then got to go on a dinosaur scavenger hunt (okay, not really, we got to skip the hunt and go straight to the prizes...go us!) Parker's prize baby dinosaur was the hit of the weekend. She wouldn't let it go...until something better came long, like throwing rocks with Uncle Jessie...bye bye baby dinosaur. He is now becoming a fossil somewhere in the RV park....

On Saturday we came upon a live band and a new friend for Parker. Arianna was smitten with her, and the camera. They had so much fun playing with the chalk table and dancing with each other!
On the move! - She did it! A little girl rode her little pink tricycle for the first time!
POOL TIME! - I don't know who was more excited about breaking out the baby pool, Parker, Mommy, or the dog!
Saturday Market - Nothing like a weekend outing for fruit, vegetables, and flowers!

Art Fair Parade - Once again Parker and her friends got to ride in the children's art fair parade. She had lots of fun with her pom poms and the music!
Portland Brewfest - Always the last weekend in July, we Parker had another outing with mom, dad, Kimmy and Bobby. Parker had her own fruit loop necklace and made a trip to the Rootbeer garden! Then some small talk with the geese and a photoshoot on the waterfront.
Hey Parker - Daddy proposed to mommy in this very same spot!
