What have you been up to little girl?
Another year older...we officially have a pre-teen.
WWE Smackdown
Never in a million years did we think our sweet, cheer loving, girly girl, would find another love...in WWE wrestling. Never. This child has the DVR set, and we have Friday Night Smackdown and Monday Night Raw on record. We have a Peacock subscription only so she doesn't miss a special event. So, it was no question that we needed up front tickets to WWE Smackdown when it came to Portland. Joining us, some of our best friends who introduced Parker to the world of "wrastling". We had an epic night of sweaty men, smack talk, really terrible acting, and so much fun. Chris, Jessica and Mack....thank you for this memory we NEVER thought we would have!
Sheamus is my favorite. I know that point was for us - swoon!
More Stunting
More stunting and with new coaches. Parker is a big fan of stunting with Kyle and Andy. It's even more fun when she gets to stunt with a bestie. Madelyn and Parker are sweet friends who love it in the air.
Reunited with Coach Gomie and former teammate Aidra at Gomie's iStunt clinic. Thanks for the hugs and lessons!
School Spirit
Middle school spirit days are the best. Soccer moms, Neon day, Adam Sandler day...all the fun!
*Group photo cred to Stevie! Thanks for the capturing friend!
Parker "came to work" with me on Take your Child to Work Day. While I usually work from home, we packed up the computer, grabbed a coffee and headed to the office. Parker earned her wage by building a few webpages.
Champion Awards
The 22-23 Season officially wrapped up with end of season awards. An opportunity to recognize these awesome, hardworking athletes - - who enjoy a good mismatched shoe.
Parker received the Eagle Award for her J4 team Shine:
The Eagle Award is presented to an athlete who has shown a great amount of growth and improvement through their hard work and determination. In recognition of “Soaring to New Heights” in some aspect of our sport we present this award.
Photobomb by the best little cheer brother, and hugs from some of the best coaches!
Student of the Month
Awards continued as Parker was awarded the 6th grade AVID Student of the Month for May! She continues to make us proud...every day!
Birthday
A pre-teen has officially entered the building! We have a 12-year-old. I'm not sure how it happened, or how these years continue to fly by. How did our tiny little baby girl so quickly sprout up to a beautiful young little lady?
This year, Parker wanted a bedroom makeover that included a new bed. She was pretty stoked about the mattress delivery and bed that she can actually spread out on!
An annual tradition, she got her favorite meal at Nagoya, and her favorite cake at the Konditorei with some of our favorite people. And in true Parker fashion, we will continue to celebrate the day for months (we still have birthday parties to plan...)
Our world will never be the same
On May 30, we had to say good-bye to my dad, Parker's papa and her best buddy, when he lost his battle with cancer. There is so much to say about that great man, but our hearts just aren't ready...that's going to have to be a post for another day...
Parker-ism's
"Actually?"
-response to pretty much everything we say
"It said a "for-e-gin" country."
- Not knowing how to say foreign.
