4th of July - We added a new small town (Mill City) parade on our holiday agenda - parade, candy, art booths in the park and best of all, friends who came back to the river for swimming, barbeque and fun!
Birthday parties - Birthday parties everywhere...more fun with friends!
Golfing with daddy - She's been asking and daddy came through - golfing on the big course! Driving the golf cart an added perk.
A week at camp - Parker's first WHOLE WEEK away from family. Secluded in a very cute spot on the woods - away from mommy, daddy, and technology. Parker had the best time bunking with her bestie Emma, sleeping under the stars, trying new camp food (she actually does like eggs - who knew!), swimming, and coming home absolutely filthy and exhausted. There is no contact with parents - "no news is good news" theory. So mommy became super stealthy stalking the camp Instagram stories so I could get a peek of my girl!
Summer river fun - When the sun is shining, we are at the river. We are so lucky to have such an amazing place so close, and a grammie and papa who let us constantly invade their home for our summer fun.
Cousin Danny came to visit - Cousin Danny, shoulder sling and all, made a long weekend coming to Oregon to spoil a little girl with lots of fun and giggles.
(We took a little road trip to explore the Oregon country.
We MAY have gone a little too far into the country - but the view was beautiful!)
Summer cheer party - Team bonding over water fights, navigating an obstacle course, snow cones, and some pretty darn cute cookies (courtesy of mommy's crazy talented friend Katie!)
State Fair - Eight hours at the state fair with friends - rides, games, animals, and booths left us tired, with cheap fair prizes, and more memories with some of our favorite people.
Back to school...in a new school! - This little girl tackled a new school year, in a new school like a champ! Unfamiliar halls, strange faces, and new routines - she tightened her backpack straps, pulled on those first day of school Chucks and marched right in ready to take on 3rd grade. We are so proud of our new Kalapuya Condor!
Jog-A-Thon - A new course for jog-a-thon, but she kept her stride. Sixteen laps around the field brought red cheeks and big smiles. Even better - our friend Ashlin made a visit to cheer our little runner on!
Mommy's birthday on the coast - A new annual tradition (in mommy's mind at least) we took a trip to the coast to celebrate. Swimming, bumper cars, beautiful sunsets, henna, hair feathers, good food (and big drinks), and the aquarium were all on tap for the weekend.
A trip to the apple orchard - We found the cutest little orchard and it was a beautiful day to pick (and taste test) a few apples and pears!
Pumpkin patch - Welcomed fall at the pumpkin patch with grammie and papa (while mommy and daddy were on a kid-free vaca out of town...)
Fall cheer party - Nothing like a team of giggling girls running through a corn maze, climbing the hay pyramid and taking advantage of some very fall photo ops.
Halloween - Catwoman by day (at cheer), Dark Ringmaster at night - candy all around. Every socialite has a few costume changes...I guess.
Parker actually donated all of her candy to her dentist, who then sent it on to veteran's homes, and military overseas. She was pretty proud to do such a great deed!
We salute you Grandpa - Heaven gained an angel armed with all of his favorite jokes. Grandpa Bauer served his country and his family, he was always the entertainment, and never treated anyone other than friend. Keep 'em laughing up there grandpa!
Thanksgiving and Christmas tree hunting - After stuffing ourselves with turkey, we had year three at this farm to find the perfect Christmas tree. Can't forget the hot chocolate, family picture and chat with the big guy. And the start of the holiday season wouldn't be complete with out gingerbread house decorating and "gathering around to top the tree."
Cheer season | Kick-off and Showcase - We couldn't wait for these days to come - to see all of that hard work and practice pay off. This team is pretty awesome, supporting each other and absolutely shining on the floor!
Ring the bell - At Parker's gym they have the tradition that when an athlete learns a new skill, they get to ring the bell and show the new skill off to those in the gym. Parks worked for her back handspring and then got to take part in the tradition!
First cheer competition - Team Ignite brought home the silver in (for many of them) their first ever competition. There was lots of screaming, sweating, and pacing in nervousness - meanwhile Parker did fine!! The position of cheer mom is intense.

Christmas cheer...literally - Festive fun with team Ignite...jammies, sock exchange and sweet treats!
Elizabeth finds a home - For a few months we had a sweet stray tuxedo baby (lovingly named Elizabeth by the neighborhood kids) come visit for nightly snuggles. When we heard that she may be going to a local rescue for adoption, Parker was devastated, and even wrote her a good-bye note. Papa and Grammie not wanting to ever see their granddaughter sad, came to the real rescue and agreed to adopt Elizabeth. I'm going to go out on a limb and say Elizabeth won the lottery and will make a pretty great river cat.
Christmas - The most wonderful time of the year. Bonfires, food, friends and family. Santa sure spoils the Warner's in gifts and memories to deposit.
New Year's - Welcome 2020 - We made it until mid-night (some of us more fashionable than others) to ring in the new year. 2020, we are ready for you!
Parker-ism's
"It’s not like we can be side kicks and know where Tillie did it." -determining if the dog pottied in the house and being psychics "I stand directed." -changing her mind when another dinner option was offered. Meaning "I stand corrected." "DJ has her own style. So what happens if she doesn’t like the clothes I buy her? Are we going to just give or throw them away? I don’t think so, we don’t waste money like that. So we need to just get her a sister to wear those clothes." -regarding her American Girl Doll (DJ) and wanting another one "You might get a little hint of a tingling sensation."
-regarding the “recycled” toilet paper being magic from the Elf on the Shelf toilet papering the house (Parker) "Daddy, you can’t do that, I could suffocate. Once a baby gets to the rib part they have to pull the baby out fast or it will suffocate." (Daddy laying back on the couch with Parker behind him...Papa confused?!) (Parker) "You know when we watch Dr. Pol and the baby cow is coming out of the butt, you have to pull it fast so it doesn’t suffocate." (Corey) "Well good thing you aren’t coming out of my butt." (Papa grossed out and still confused)
