Life at seven | We're going to Disney!

What have you been up to little girl?
Back to Camp Greider - Our 2nd year at Camp Greider brought a summer full of fun - dirt, attempting to catch frogs, archery, canoeing, playing games, more dirt and more fun.
(Besties with their favorite camp counselor "Hard Tack".)

Hike to Opal Creek - Oregon sure is beautiful. What a hike, literally...a hike that seemed would never end! We ended up carrying both the child and dog out.

4th of July - To stick with holiday tradition, we claimed our space to watch the Independence 4th of July parade. This time we had the Smith family join us. Begging for candy is way more fun with friends!
Summer Cheer Camp - Parker joined the Boys and Girls Club summer cheer camp over the summer. Fun times fundraising (cough, cough) and more performances (Hoopla, Volcanoes game, and finale) with friends.
More Cheer...this is starting to become a thing - We officially joined Champion Cheer Athletics, a great organization to increase Parker's cheer skills - tumbling, stunting, and flexibility. While she's enjoying learning the FUNdamentals of cheer now, outlook says she's joins a competitive team next year!

State fair - She must be growing up because her fear of fair rides has certainly decreased! And who can say no to a hurkin' snow cone!
Back to school - Second grade. SECOND GRADE! What? The busy summer went by quick, but boy was she ready to get back to school! She has a super fun teacher, and luckily some of her besties ended up in her class again (WHEW!).
Jog-A-Thon - 80's themed (let's be real, that was for the mom's), this was the third year running her little red faced, heart out. This year she ran 30 laps. Her fundraising earned her dying a teachers hair, spraying a teacher with silly string, smashing a pie in a teacher,s face, and principal for the day. Thank you to all of her fans and financial supporters! We all had a rad time!

West Salem High School Cheer Camp #?? (Starting to lose count!) - Reunited with Ashley and Allyssa...our favorite high school cheerleaders. Parker found her love of the sport from these two - we are super thankful for our friendship with them! Another camp, another performance at the football game.
Pumpkin patches - A family and friends trip to the pumpkin patch. Many slides down the hay slide, a quick trip through the corn maze, the quest for the perfect pumpkin, and a impromptu photo shoot of my favorite model!
Halloween - My little girl went from cute fluffy costumes to "vanting to suck your blood...". Although the teeth inhibited the candy intake, she rocked her first ever spooky costume. (BONUS: She also totally rocked Junie B. Jones for the character costume she wore to school.)

The "People's Christmas Tree" - What a cool memory to go down in history! The "people's" tree came from Oregon this year. We not only got to see the tree, but we also signed the truck before it headed across the country to eventually land on the Capitol lawn in Washington D.C.

River photoshoot - Our friend Lyndon made the trip east to Grammie and Papa's for a child photoshoot at the river. We are so lucky to have a friend with a big camera and talent!
Thanksgiving - Our second Turkey Day with Grammie and Papa in Oregon. So much food, so much fun, so many new memories over the holidays. Once incident to go down in the books, the small dog managed to find the raw rolls rising, and indulge in her own  holiday feast. An emergency trip to the vet and another round of rolls later...we were able to eat. Obviously, the forced vomiting didn't phase her...
Finding the perfect tree - A rainy Oregon day after Thanksgiving, we cut our favorite tree at a sweet little farm close to Grammie and Papa's. I remember hunting trees when I was small, I'm so glad that we now get to share this tradition with Parks.
The view behind a small dog's big ears.
Christmas - A very happy Christmas with our family. Homemade sugar cookie decorating (thank you daddy!), ice skating with our sweet friends Kennedy and Hadley, and so much more. Uncle Bobby and Aunt Kimmy joined us on Christmas Eve for prepping for Santa shenanigans. A perfect holiday wrapped up in a bow!
A pooping unicorn...thanks Santa. I think...
Small dog on roll patrol.

Mommy and daddy outdid Santa this year...

WE'RE GOING TO DISNEYLAND! Watch out Goofy...we'll see you in February!

Happy New Year - We welcomed 2019 starting with a bonfire at the river with some of our favorite people, followed with lots of excitement with the ball drop.
This is either her "I partied too hard" or "don't judge my cookie intake" face.

Cheers to all of our friends...looking forward to many more memories with all of you!

Parker-isms:
"I wish I could click links below."
Regarding the You Tube videos and things to buy for DIY hacks.

(Parker) "Math is so hard."
(Greg) "Why? Is it word problems?"
(P) "No it’s 10 frame."
(G) "That's not math. You’re bowling."

(Daddy) "Here is the very first Harry Potter that ever came out."
(Parker) "Is it black and white?"
